OAKLAND —California Attorney General Rob Bonta today issued the following statement regarding the death of Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy Ryan Clinkunbroomer, who was fatally shot while in his patrol cruiser outside of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Palmdale Station on September 16:
“Following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, Deputy Ryan Clinkunbroomer embodied the selfless spirit that runs in his family,” said Attorney General Bonta. “His heroism and his sacrifice to keep us safe will forever be remembered and honored by the people of California. I send my deepest condolences to Deputy Clinkunbroomer’s family and friends, as well as his colleagues at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department during this tragic, difficult time.”
Deputy Ryan Clinkunbroomer was an eight-year veteran of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. He is survived by his fiancée, mother, and father.
