The CPU provides technical and analytical support in contracts used by the department including, but not limited to, expert witnesses, outside attorney services, law enforcement training, forensic services, and maintenance or repair of equipment.
The Department of Justice proposes to adopt sections 600, 601, 602, 603, 604, 605, 606, 607, 608, 609, 610, 611, 612, and 613 of Title 11, Division 1, Chapter 6 of the California Code of Regulations concerning the selection process for private architectural and engineering firms.

Status of the Proposal
The rulemaking is complete. On July 22, 2022, the Office of Administrative Law approved the regulations and filed them with the Secretary of State. The regulations become effective on October 1, 2022.
